  • Judgment by the Constitutional Court declaring that the definition of torture under the guatemalan criminal code is unconstitutional as it does not contain the minimoum elements required by international law. The case was presented by Alexander Aizenstatd.

  • Constitutional action presented before the Constitutional Court requiring that the definition of the crime of Genocide in the Criminal Code be declared unconstitutional and ammended in accordance with the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and International legal standards (in Spanish).

  • Constitutional action presented before the Constitutional Court requiring that the definition of the crime of torture in the Criminal Code be declared unconstitutional and ammended in accordance with the Convention Against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, the Inter-American Convention to Prevent and Punish Torture, the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and International legal standards (in Spanish).

  • Constitutional action presented before the Constitutional Court requesting the declaration of unconstitutionality of article 50 of the Civil and Commercial Procedural Code that contemplated the dismissal of all legal actions that did not bear a stamp tax attached to each page (in Spanish).

  • Amicus Curiae Brief presented before the Constitutional Court in defense of women´s right against violence and in oposition to the declaration of inconstitutionality of the Law against Femicide and other forms of violence against women (in Spanish).
